Microwave Caramel Corn

Put 4 quarts popped popcorn in unrecycled brown grocery sack.
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt in large bowl. Microwave on HIGH until mixture begins to boil; cook for 4 minutes, stirring three times. Add baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture over popcorn and stir. Cook 1 1/2 minutes in microwave. Shake sack hard. Cook another 15 seconds. Nuts may be added in last 15 seconds.
