Mom's Raisin Cookies


1 1/2 c. Raisins
1 c. water
Boil and simmer for 5 minutes or until liquid is all but gone. In a different bowl cream together:
1 c. shortening or margerine
1 1/2 c. sugar
Then add:
3 eggs
2 t. vanilla
(Raisins)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 t. soda
This is a very soft dough. Drop balls into sugar and coat. Grease pan and then bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
