8 c. oats
6 c. wheaties, corn flakes, or Rice Krispies
2 c. untoasted wheat germ
2-3 c. coconut
½ c. honey melted in 1 c. warm water
1 lb. raisins (optional)
2 tsp. salt
1½ -2 c. brown sugar
1 c. cooking oil
3 tsp. vanilla
In a large bowl, combine and mix well all ingredients except oil and vanilla and raisins. Then add oil and vanilla until all ingredients are coated. Spread on two cookie sheets and bake at 250° for 45 mins. to 1 hr. Stir every 15 mins. Cool and add raisins.

I have also done this recipe without the wheaties/corn flakes/rice krispies.
ReplyDeleteI just reduce the oil to 1/4 c. and it makes a tasty granola!
