Mix well in a bowl:
3/4 lb. Hamburger
3/4 c. grated potatoes
1/4 c. grated onion
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
With wet hands, shape meat mixture into 8 patties. Roll patties in 3 T. Flour. Brown slowly in skillet on both sides in 2 T. Hot oil. Drain off all oil in skillet. Combine 1 small can of tomato sauce and water to equal 1 ½ c. and 1/4 t. salt. Pour over patties and cook covered over medium heat for 30 minutes. Turn patties over after 15 minutes. Serve hot with the sauce.
